Ninh Binh, Vietnam - An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale occurred at 9:27 AM this morning (27th May) in Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh Province. Residents in the surrounding area reported feeling a slight shaking.

According to the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center, the quake struck at 9:27:12 AM (Hanoi time) at coordinates 20.196N-105.778E, with a depth of approximately 17km.
The epicenter was located at the southern end of Nho Quan District, near the border with Thanh Hoa Province's Thach Thanh and Ha Trung districts. The Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center is monitoring the situation.

Social media users in Nho Quan District and Thach Thanh District reported feeling shaking and hearing a loud noise from the underground.
Mr. N.M.T, living in Nho Quan Town, said he was sitting in his home when he felt the shaking. "It lasted for a few seconds," he said. Ms. L.N. in Thach Thanh District also reported feeling the tremors, with her ceiling lamp swaying slightly.

Yesterday, at 9:45:27 AM (Hanoi time), a 3.0 magnitude earthquake also occurred on the Vietnam-Laos border near Ky Son District, Nghe An Province. On 25th May, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck in Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province.
